Include staff time spent screening applicants, providing orientation sessions to potential providers and costs for site visit inspections, including travel.  Include cost of items purchased, printing and mailing costs for provider tool kits and other certification materials. Include staff time spent providing technical assistance, monitoring compliance, issuing compliance statements, handling noncompliance issues, issuing non-compliance statements, and issuing warning letters, provider sanction/enforcement notices, and revocations.  Include costs for certification administrative reviews.  Include time spent investigating and documenting complaints about providers. 

Charge certification-related training and related travel costs to this line.

Certification Subcontracts and costs related to subcontracting for certification services should be charged to this line.
Child Care 5831 TR Child Care Certification 5833 TR Child Care Certification Fees Collected (Negative) Report all fees collected from certified providers on this line. Include fees collected for Initial Application, Relocation and Recertification (if charged by the agency or subcontract agency).  Fees are not allocated and must be reported as a negative amount on 5833.  Tribes should not net out fees against expenditures reported on 5831.
Child Care 5840 TR Child Care Provider and Client Fraud Prevention and Investigation Services 5841 TR Child Care Client and Provider Fraud Preventions and Investigation Services Report staff time spent on fraud prevention, investigation and enforcement. Include time spent developing and using error prone profiles, and conducting any special front-end verifications for fraud purposes.

Child Care 5855 TR Child Care Staffing 5855 TR Child Care Staffing Onboarding This additional funding is intended to provide tribal agencies with the ability to focus on the recruitment and retention of regulated child care providers, increase participation in the Wisconsin Shares Subsidy program, expansion of child care capacity, and improvements in accessing child care services. Agencies can use this funding to onboard an additional staff member whose primary focus would be to complete the items listed above. This staff position can be onboarded at any identified level necessary to ensure the primary focus of the position is to work in the key areas identified.
